Jedidah Wambui Weru

Sunrise: 1970
Sunset: December 27, 2021

We are heartbroken to share the news that Jedidah Wambui Weru (Mima) of Nanyuki & Seattle Washington died on Dec. 27 2021. She was 51.

Born in Mombasa in 1970, she lived in Nairobi for the better part of her life before relocating to Seattle Washington in the USA in  2018. After moving to Seattle, she started working at the Lakeshore as a community health administrative assistant.

After graduating high school, Jedidah went on to College where she attained a diploma in Business Management. Jedidah had an extreme passion for rally driving. She was the type of person who always stepped up and supported organizations she believed in, even when she didn’t have the means to.

She attended the Ambassadors of Christ Church (Kenya) and Nazarene Church (USA).

Jedidah a renown event organizer, was a happy-go-lucky Kenyan who loved to tease and loved a good joke. Her former colleagues will surely miss her. She worked at Melvins, Regional Reach (1998), Kameme FM (2000 – 2012), Flame Tree Company (2012-2014), Interconsumer Products Ltd (2015) and Weru TV (2016-2017).

She is survived by her mother Esther Kairu Weru; Daughter Esther Nyawira; sisters Florence Weru, Jane Ngina & Naomi Nyaguthie; brother  Ephantus Muraguri and Francis Maina.

She was preceded in death by her Father Johnson Weru her sister Maria Weru.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A heart of gold stopped throbbing. God broke our heart to prove to us, he only takes the best. Continue resting in God’s mighty hands. Those we love don’t go, they walk beside us everyday, unseen and unheard but always near. So loved. So missed. So very dear. Fly with the angels.

Other details and burial plans to follow.

Job 1:21 He said,
“Naked (without possessions) I came [into this world] from my mother’s womb,
And naked I will return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
